Time Touch Take is a groundbreaking automated medication system developed by a team of experienced engineers with over 100 years of combined expertise.
Designed to simplify medication management, our system can produce up to 1,500 monthly units, all crafted by and for the blind and elderly.
Our Vision empowers individuals, especially those with visual impairments and the elderly, to take control of their medication regimens. Time Touch Take provides a user-friendly platform that streamlines the medication process, promoting adherence, safety, and peace of mind.
We are actively working to secure approval from Medicare and the Veterans Administration, a testament to the credibility and accessibility of our innovative solution. This will ensure that a broader range of individuals in need can benefit from Time Touch Take.
The Mission of the Time Touch Take Medication System is to help keep the Blind and Elderly Safe in their homes and provide Caregivers with peace of mind when they can’t be with their loved ones.
This unique medication system will provide ease and safety for those who would otherwise be forced to find “in-home” care, which is costly!.
Time Touch Take will help to reduce accidental overdoses and forgetting to take medication. According to the CDC, 64% of medication errors are 75 years of age and older. Individuals with memory loss account for 40% of the medication errors. We envision a reduction of these errors by 20% over five years
My nephew Ron called me from Atlanta and asked if I would go to the hospital to see his dad; when I arrived, he was in bed but sitting up when I walked into the room. I asked him, “Hi Ronnie, how are you doing? He said to me, “Who is it”? I asked Barbara. You are looking at me; he said, I cannot see! I felt terrible at that moment. I went back to see him in the hospital several times, and when the hospital discharged him, I brought him to his apartment. When I got him in his apartment, he had Medication all over the apartment. Pills were on the floor, table, bathroom, etc.... I told him, now I know why you are in the hospital. You are not taking your medication.
After a few weeks, I got him an apartment 7 minutes from my house, and the same problem existed. So, I came up with the idea for him to take his medication through the sense of touch and hearing. After several tries, I developed the Time Touch Take Automated Medication System.
I took Ronnie to his cardiologist, who asked Ronnie, “What have you been doing? I have not seen you in the hospital?” He said, “My sister-in-law makes me take my medication.” The doctor and I just smiled.
Over the years, I have learned that “the elderly and blind want to be safe in their homes”!
